Visual & Operational Monitoring
Observe system during operation to ensure uniform bubble generation - uneven or sparse bubbles often indicate issues with the dissolved air system. Monitor clarity of treated water and consistency of sludge/scum removal.
-
Scraper & Sludge Systems
Frequently inspect scraper and sludge discharge systems for smooth movement. Remove accumulated debris or sludge that may jam chains or belts to prevent disruption of separation process.
-
Air Tank & Release Valves
Periodically check dissolved air tank for leaks and clean release valves to prevent clogging by fine solids. Clogged valves reduce air dissolution, weakening contaminant removal capability.
-
DAF Tank Cleaning
Drain tank periodically to scrub inner walls, removing settled sludge or mineral deposits. Buildup reduces tank capacity and interferes with water flow and bubble distribution.
-
Air Compressor Maintenance
Check oil levels and filter conditions regularly. Dirty filters restrict airflow while low oil levels cause compressor overheating.
-
Chemical Delivery Systems
Inspect hoses and pumps for leaks. Ensure chemical storage containers are sealed to prevent contamination or evaporation. Regularly check coagulant/flocculant quality.
-
Corrosion Protection
Apply corrosion-resistant coatings to metal components as needed, especially those in contact with wastewater, to extend system lifespan.
