The WF flotation system is a large-scale surface air flotation system with cross-flow separation. The system is designed to treat a large amount of waste water loaded with solids, which require a large amount of free surface area for successful flotation and separation. The dissolved air flotation system treats the wastewater introduced at one end of the equipment and discharges it as clean water at the other end. The New Agenda for Africa technology is used to remove oil, grease, solids and suspended flocculants whose buoyancy is insufficient to float; or oils and solid emulsions that require air flotation (increased density) to enhance the separation process. The use of microbubble flotation technology (3 to 7 microns range) can improve efficiency, because smaller bubbles are easily attached to the same size or larger particles, thereby improving the overall performance of the system.
