How to judge whether the dissolved air system of Air flotation equipment is normal

2025-04-17
To judge whether the dissolved air system of Air flotation equipment is normal, you can start from the following aspects:
1. Pressure parameters
The dissolved air tank is usually equipped with a pressure gauge. When operating normally, the dissolved air tank should be kept within a certain pressure range. For example, for general air flotation equipment, the dissolved air tank pressure usually needs to be maintained at 0.3-0.5MPa. If the pressure is too high or too low, it may indicate that there is a problem with the dissolved air system. Too high pressure may be due to valve blockage or poor reflux of dissolved air water; too low pressure may be due to insufficient air intake, failure of dissolved air pump or system leakage.
2. Appearance of dissolved air water
Observing the appearance of dissolved air water can also judge the condition of the dissolved air system. Normal dissolved air water should be milky white, and there should be a large number of tiny bubbles evenly distributed. If the dissolved air water is clear and there are no obvious bubbles, it means that the dissolved air effect is not good. It may be that the dissolved air efficiency of the dissolved air system is reduced, such as the aging and failure of the filler in the dissolved air tank, which affects the mixing effect of air and water.
3. Flotation effect
The normality of the dissolved air system directly affects the flotation effect. If the dissolved air system is normal, a large number of fine bubbles will rise evenly in the flotation tank, and the suspended particles in the sewage can quickly combine with the bubbles and float to the water surface, forming an obvious scum layer. On the contrary, if the flotation effect is poor, such as the suspended particles are difficult to flocculate and float, or the scum layer is thin and loose, it may be that the dissolved air system has a fault, resulting in insufficient bubble volume or uneven bubble size, and cannot effectively carry suspended particles.
4. Equipment operation sound

Equipment such as dissolved air pumps will make a stable sound when running. If the dissolved air system is normal, the sound of the dissolved air pump is stable and uniform. If there is abnormal noise or vibration, it may be that the impeller of the dissolved air pump is damaged, the bearing is faulty, or air enters the suction pipe, which will affect the normal operation of the dissolved air system.
