Shallow air floatation has the advantages of high efficiency, energy saving and small footprint, and is suitable for the following industries:

1. Food and beverage industry The wastewater in this industry often contains a large amount of pollutants such as organic matter, grease, protein and suspended solids. Shallow air floatation can effectively remove these substances, so that the wastewater can be discharged in compliance with the standards or the water can be reused. For example, in the treatment of brewery wastewater, it can quickly separate the suspended impurities such as malt grains and yeast in the wastewater, reducing the burden of subsequent treatment processes.

2. Textile printing and dyeing industry Printing and dyeing wastewater has the characteristics of high chroma, high organic content and large water quality changes. Shallow air floatation can form flocs and float and separate pollutants such as dyes by adding flocculants, which has a significant effect on the removal of chroma and COD, and helps to reduce the chroma and organic content of wastewater to meet the discharge standards. 

3. Petrochemical industry Petrochemical wastewater contains a large amount of petroleum substances, aromatic compounds and heavy metal ions. Shallow air floatation can use tiny bubbles to adsorb oil droplets and suspended particles and float them to the water surface, achieving oil-water separation and removal of some heavy metals, providing good pretreatment conditions for subsequent deep treatment.

4. Pharmaceutical industry

Pharmaceutical wastewater has complex components and contains antibiotics, drug intermediates and other difficult-to-degrade organic matter. Shallow air floatation can be used as a pretreatment method to remove suspended impurities and some organic matter in wastewater, reduce the biological toxicity of wastewater, improve the biodegradability of wastewater, and facilitate the stable operation of subsequent biological treatment processes.

5. Municipal sewage treatment

In urban sewage treatment plants, shallow air floatation can be used to treat the effluent of primary sedimentation tanks or the sludge return of secondary sedimentation tanks. For low-temperature and low-turbidity raw water, shallow air floatation can also play a good treatment effect, improving the quality of drinking water by removing algae, fine suspended particles, etc. in the water.
