Treatment principle
Flocculation: Add flocculants to fluoride-containing wastewater to make the fluoride ions in the wastewater react chemically with the flocculants to form larger flocs. Flocculants can adsorb fluoride ions and other impurities in the wastewater and precipitate them.
Flotation: By introducing tiny bubbles into the wastewater, the flocculants are combined with the bubbles to form flotations. The density of the flotation is less than that of water and it will float on the water surface, thus achieving solid-liquid separation.
Treatment process
Wastewater pretreatment: Preliminary filtration of fluoride-containing wastewater to remove larger particles and impurities to prevent clogging of subsequent treatment equipment.
Flocculation reaction: Add flocculants to the pretreated wastewater and stir evenly to make the flocculants fully react with fluoride ions to form flocs.
Flotation treatment: Pass the flocculated wastewater into the flotation equipment and introduce tiny bubbles at the same time. The bubbles combine with the flocculants to form flotations, which float on the water surface.
Solid-liquid separation: Scrape the floating body from the water surface to achieve solid-liquid separation. The separated clean water can be further treated or directly discharged.
Sludge treatment: The sludge generated during the flotation treatment contains a high concentration of fluoride ions and other impurities, which requires further treatment. Dehydration, drying and other methods can be used to treat the sludge into solid waste for safe disposal.
